I came to this place about 18 months ago and it has literally change my life. When I first joined my physical condition was diagnosed as "dilapidated". I
couldn't do a push up, I was overweight, my posture was slumped over and I had chronic back and knee pains. Otherwise I was feeling great. Laura and
Marteen with plenty of help from the other fitness trainers and with hard work got me into the shape of my life. Now I have no more pains and aches, lost the
flabby stuff and replace it with some serious muscle tone and can run the 3 miles under 25 min. Under the extremely watchful and experienced eyes of
Marteen I never had an injury during or after the exercises, learned a lot about how to care about my body, nutrition and working out without  heavy gym
machines with just a yoga mat and some free weights.
In summary - my best investment over the last years!

. They start by giving you a free assessment that measures things like body alignment, posture, balance, strength, cardio recovery, etc.  I found the
scientific approach to be quite interesting as well as valuable.  They also talk to you extensively about your goals.  From there, a program is designed
around their assessment and your aspirations. My goal is to take it to the next level and they have started to show me the way.  I have had several sessions
with them and have NEVER had workouts as intense.  While I was crying "mommy" about half way through my first session, they kept me going with plenty of
positive feedback.  The positive reinforcement through all the workouts has been a great motivator. Everyone in house is extremely knowledgeable in
addition to being personable.  The equipment is top notch and they have machines and exercises that most gym goers have never experienced.
While I know I will get my butt kicked when I go, I start looking forward to the next session well in advance.

My name is Sallie and I am 76 years old. I have been training at Positive Motion since March of 2011. I came in because I was disgusted with
myself. I was at my heaviest weight, I lacked energy, I had some shoulders issues, and I really needed help to get in shape. I drove by the gym ever since it
opened and I kept telling myself that I should at least stop by and try to see what they had to offer. When I decided to check them out, I basically crawled
there as I was out of shape. I am now at my 7th month training here and I have lost 15 lbs, I feel so much better, my energy level has increased, I can take
walks with my new dog without getting out of breath. The staff here is wonderful and they really worked me out progressively. I am so happy that I signed
up. Today, I do things that I wouldn’t have imagined possible. I am always looking forward to my training because I feel so much better after my sessions.

I have been coming to Positive Motion for over two years and am, truly, a more energetic, stronger and confident woman because of it.
Laura has been my trainer since the very beginning when I first came into the studio with sore knees, weak legs, inflexible hips and an awkward gait despite
having had many years of physical therapy and medicine in the past. Laura is persistent, smart and extremely knowledgeable about the body and all its
moving parts. I have reconnected with many muscles with which I had lost connection, built strength in both my legs and knees and feel more confident about
